It is a routine that has earned the designation of being one of the safest exercise routines for those who are recovering from various injuries. It has grown in popularity over the years because if you are trying not to aggrevate an existing injury, you can pop in a gentle Pilates dvd and know that you won’t make your condition worse.
Some of the differences of the Stott Pilates method and the original Pilates exercises, is that the Stott version incorporates the principles of promoting the natural curvature of the spine. Whereas the original Pilates method tends to support promoting a flat back. This is something that you can apply when using the aero pilates performer with cardio rebounder.
Stott Pilates allows a person to develop leaner muscles as opposed to growing bulky muscles. These exercises focus on developing a stronger core which is great for strengthening those back and stomach muscles. It is no impact, so you won’t put any stress on key joints like your knees. You will also be able to improve your coordination as well as your circulation, and balance. So if you would like to add some variety whether you’re using a floor mat or new or used pilates equipment, you now have some background on the Stott Pilates Method.
